Customize Your Work Schedule: Per-Day Hours and Weekend Scheduling
Not everyone works 9-to-5, Monday through Friday. Some people start early on Mondays, wrap up at noon on Fridays, or regularly work weekends. Your task scheduling should reflect how you actually work — not force you into a one-size-fits-all box.
That's why Skedio now supports per-day working hours and weekend scheduling.
What's New
Custom Hours Per Day
You can now set different start and end times for each day of the week. Open Settings and you'll see a 7-day table where you control exactly when Skedio can schedule your tasks.
Some examples:
- Early Mondays: Start at 7:00 AM to get a head start on the week
- Short Fridays: End at 1:00 PM to enjoy your afternoon
- Late Wednesdays: Start at 10:00 AM for your mid-week sleep-in
- Split schedules: Whatever combination works for your life
Weekend Scheduling
Need to schedule tasks on Saturday or Sunday? Just toggle those days on. Skedio will schedule tasks on your enabled weekend days just like any other workday, within the hours you set.
This is great for:
- Freelancers who work flexible weeks
- Students who study on weekends
- Side project owners who dedicate weekend hours to their projects
- Anyone whose work doesn't fit a traditional Monday-Friday schedule
Day Off Support
Disable any day of the week and Skedio won't schedule anything on it. Taking every Wednesday off? Just toggle it off. Skedio respects your boundaries.
How It Works
- Go to Settings in the Skedio app
- You'll see a 7-day schedule table
- Toggle each day on or off
- Set start and end times for each enabled day
- Save — and Skedio immediately uses your new schedule
Tasks are only scheduled on enabled days, within each day's specific hours. It's that simple.
For Existing Users
If you're already using Skedio, your Monday-through-Friday schedule is preserved automatically. The new per-day settings will appear next time you visit Settings — no action needed on your part.
Why This Matters
Most productivity tools assume everyone works the same schedule. But real life is messier than that. Whether you're a freelancer, a student, a parent with a non-traditional schedule, or someone who simply works better at different times on different days — your tools should adapt to you, not the other way around.
This update is part of our commitment to keeping Skedio simple but flexible. No complex rules engine, no AI trying to guess your schedule. Just a straightforward table where you tell Skedio when you're available, and it handles the rest.
